The World of Woollen Collection

Wool is an extraordinary fibre from nature, whose properties produce extremely high-quality and sustainable fabrics. Obtained from the sheep’s fur, wool is a renewable resource that mankind has been using for more than 8000 years.

The positive properties of wool result from the complex structure of the fibre. The interaction of the outer sheath Cuticula and the fibre trunk Cortex result in valuable functions that no other fibre combines.

Woven fabrics made of wool are equally suitable as upholstery fabrics and as curtain fabrics. They radiate warmth and coziness and can have both a cozy and purist appearance.

The WORLD OF WOOLEN FABRIC COLLECTION

Upholstery fabrics made from regenerated wool

The Italian Association for Recycled Textiles ASTRI promotes companies that have been producing high-quality fabrics from recycled raw materials for decades. The gradual extraction of materials is carried out in the spirit of the circular economy in line with the priorities set for the seventh environmental action programme. (EU decision April 2012).

In the view of the linear economy, waste is the end of a product or material without further use.
Materials that can be recycled and reused are regarded as so-called textile by-products. These form the basis for new raw materials from used textiles.
The reuse of used clothing makes it possible to manufacture textile products such as high-quality upholstery fabrics made of wool, in line with the circular economy. In a complex process, used textiles are sorted by colour, mechanically processed, carbonised and washed, carded and spun into yarn. The resulting regenerated yarns form the basis of the new upholstery fabrics with a 70% recycled wool content.

DOVER

Dover is an elegant decorative fabric made from 100% extra-fine merino wool. This finely woven fabric is a high-quality curtain in a class of its own. The mulesing-free quality impresses with its soft feel and fine drape. A slight light transmission ensures a pleasant room atmosphere.
The subtle melange look in four non-colours – delicate cream, soft grey, walnut and anthracite – harmonizes perfectly with the upholstery fabrics in the collection. Dover is ideal for use in high-quality hotel projects and special areas where naturalness and aesthetics are required.
