You know being a leader isn’t just about being chosen by your constituents and sitting behind the desk collecting paycheck and “doing nothing”. You are being chosen to do the job you are supposed to and that means public service, knowing the ins and out of what your people need, want desire from you. That means being aware and in the mix with them. When I was leading a non profit chapter in San Diego I had my 40 hour job that was demanding but because I was chosen to lead the non profit organization chapter in my area it was my responsibility to put my time and energy into it. No I wasn’t getting paid I was a volunteer but I put in an extra 40 hours along with my regular 40 hours to revamp and make it as it is supposed to be for the people. And when one puts in the time and energy and effort into “service” the result shows by itself. My chapter not only made me and my team members win the awards for our work and gratitude but brought it up to 400% success rate from every other chapter. ( ***No not bragging but making a point here to what it took me to get there) And in the beginning as a leader I had to start the effort and work even if my team wasn’t showing up. All my focus was to serve, on my service and responsibilities as the leader no matter whether they want to show up for their position or not. But by me taking action to be responsible they all eventually showed up and started taking responsibility. We walk and talk by walking by example is our way, souls way in my personal and professional life as one. They are not separate. It’s not about how much you get paid, it’s about service. My employers didn’t pay me that much but that didn’t stop me from being who I am and going above and beyond my call of duty because that is service for me. To serve is first and I was compensated by them in many different ways and I am eternally grateful to my service for taking care of me. But that happened because I chose to serve. That was how I was born to be, grown up to be, is how my soul mother and father taught me to be. Money is not the only way one gets compensated. Be open and choose to serve and watch the Magick. I have walked by example in every aspect of my life I have learned, grown I came out of it with the flying magickal colors. Faced my own fears along the way and let go of that which failed to serve the balance between order and chaos. What about you? Are you walking your talk?
