Miracle- Nishante- Nisha Designs

Miracle: how you choose to look? If you see and believe in miracle is sure is miracle. If you see problems then sure will be problems. If you see fear then sure there will be fear. Think of all of your emotions as people. Would you allow the person name problem to enter your home? Would you allow the person named fear to come inside your home? I am hoping not. So why would you let any of these beings/ people/ energy live inside of you? Who do you want to allow in your home/ your sacred body is always your choice. There is always order/ miracle amidst of chaos. It’s how you choose to look at it, how you choose to believe it. This is the unknown right here today that we have come face to face. That you have to trust. Matter of fact you have no choice but to trust now isn’t it? Which is a Miracle in itself. Don’t you think? Nothing could get you to this place but self quarantine? Unknown will take care of you if you are choosing to do the right thing. Walking your truth. You have to believe in it first then you will see the miracle not the other way around. So many of you fear unknown? It’s funny isn’t it now that you have no where to go but have faith and trust in the unknown. No where to go but deal with your own self? Your own way of being while you are under quarantine? I am sure the thoughts inside of you don’t let you rest, relax be at peace isn’t it? Constant chatter? Moving? Don’t know what to do with yourself and how to be yourself? Hmm. Yes this is where self work, meditation comes in. Discipline comes in, spiritual studies come in. Working on yourself, meditation all these are tools given to us to show us how to live. But we chose to become so busy with stuff and life and being self centered and pointing fingers at others, that I am right and you are wrong and about money and racism that looking inside and taking responsibility of our own stuff was never a priority? That we took no time to stop, listen, breathe?🙈Now that you are quarantined who is truly going to help you here? There is no one outside of you to help you trust? Help you relax? Help you rest? Is there? It all comes from within and when you are so disconnected within you there is nothing that can help you but you. This virus does not see where you from? What your color, race, religion is? Miracle isn’t it? How Goddess Mother Nature knows how to stop the madness that was happening? Miracle a state and a way of living and being. It’s never too late to go within and learn to be one with yourself.

Women + Patterns + Plants: Helping women to reconnect to Mother Earth through colouring in

Artist and designer Sarina Mantle is helping women to reconnect to Mother Earth through a different medium – a self-care colouring book, Women + Patterns + Plants.

With a strong resonance for indigenous cultures, plant life, shamanic healing and the divine feminine, Sarina Mantle has created a beautiful book that takes the colourist on a mindful and engaging journey that is empowering.

Women + Patterns + Plants is made up of several of Sarina Mantle’s illustrations – black-and-white line drawings featuring women, patterns and plants.

The colouring book is as much a visual expression of Sarina Mantle’s journey of self-discovery. Prior to penning the book, Sarina Mantle travelled to Peru where she spent time with the indigenous women of Shipibo heritage, who are master embroiderers and painters. There she was surrounded by all the things that encompass her book – plants, textiles and women.

In an interview with Yellowzine, she said: “I felt deeply inspired by Mother Earth. I decided after my own self-discovery that I wanted to create visually through illustration; I wanted to make drawings of women reconnecting to Mother Earth. It has been my way of contributing to the collective consciousness that are returning to sustainability, nurturing plants, growing food and spending time in nature.”

Women + Patterns + Plants is a beautiful book which is a powerful way in which to nurture the connection with one’s self and one’s source, Mother Nature and her children.

Women + Patterns + Plants by Sarina Mantle is available from Amazon and independent bookstores

Spiritual Living is Security- Nisha Designs

As an artist, textile designer, women business owner it is my responsibility to create and service that serves the greater good leading by example and shifting my own life. And it is important to be aware how my life choices impacts the environment by my energy, thought, belief system, choices and actions. What I create, how I use the energy and intention behind that creation, service will tell me if my focus is on physical or serving the greater good. If I create art, design, sell the products that I am selling with the intention of money, pride, popularity, then no I am not serving the greater good. Because here my focus is about physical things. But if I create my art, design service products because I love what I do, love what I provide to my customers regardless of the outcome for that design, art piece, fabric then yes I am serving the greater good. That is my security. That pure joy in creating, servicing and not focusing on physical and what it will bring me is the spiritual living taking care of me.

Living spiritually is where our security is. When I shifted my focus from physical things and people to complete spiritual living, I had and have complete security for life now. My purpose becomes my security. My life every moment, energy, thought, belief system, choices and actions are spiritually guided that which serves the greater good. Each of us born here are here as a guest, temporary not permanent. As a guest it is my responsibility to treat Mother Earth and all of her resources with respect and kindness. That means my life belongs to Mother Earth in everything I do. It is my responsibility to respect the land that has given me a life to experience Mother Earth. Your focus on Physical and financial things, body do not give you security. Security is your inner being, soul and higher mind not your conscious, money mind. Approaching life as a physical and material security can and will be taken away from you at any given moment in split second. You think you have but no you have no control on anything physical. If you say your job is a security? Hmm it can come to bankrupt or close down at any given time, money? Hmm that also can be taken away from you at any point, car, health, home, career, business, acquiring physical things, falling in love with a body than the inner being can be taken away from you at any given moment, if you think having a physical body to love, marry, kids is security then really look deeply they all can be taken away from you in split seconds coz you are focus on the physical not who they are inside. Physical things including physical bodies are not security. This so called magickal life you say by doing things, going to places, traveling, clothes, restaurants, brands you buy all have a physical focus. A magickal life is living spiritually that magickally takes care of you. And what gives you magickally will also be sustained magickally. You truly have no control on your physical life. But if you stay spiritually connected then yes it will secure you. Living spiritually is your security. Your focus is the key. Believe and you will see. Shift your focus. Just by shifting your focus you can bring change not only to your life but to Mother Earth. That is what is required to shift and bring change so mother earth can do what she has to do to bring things to balance.

Looking at your life what would you say is your foundation based on? What does security mean to you?

Unicorn Wisdom: What unicorns can teach us- Life & Soul Magazine

Unicorns are one of the most loved mystical and magickal beings, with both children and adults drawn to their gentle nature, youthful take on life, playfulness, potent magickal and healing abilities, and spiritual wisdom.

These beautiful and graceful beings are often depicted as horse-like beings with a magickal horn that elevates from their third-eye area, in between the eyes. Beautiful they most certainly are, but if you were to meditate or to dream of unicorns you will not be surprised to learn that they are not exclusively white, as they are often depicted.

As a race of magickal beings, unicorns are as different as every other unique being – a myriad of shades, colours, sizes and often with dominant features such as zebra-like stripes. Their energy is pure and their light is a brilliant white light, which if you look up close is infact a spectrum of all colours.

Unique beings they are and unicorns teach us to honour our individuality. No two beings are the same, and unicorns help those who struggle with this truth or try to “fit in” with others to find their way in their exploration of getting to know themself, while also showing them how they can bring their individuality in to a group setting without losing themself so to speak.

Harmony is a quality that is associated with unicorns. As natural peacekeepers, unicorns are diplomatic, serene, adaptable beings who bring a whole lot of love, joy and peace wherever they go and to whomever they come into contact with.

Dwellers of the forests, unicorns have potent healing capabilities and are naturally knowledgeable about plant life. Those with unicorn energy often find themselves working with plants as herbalists, naturopaths, gardeners, chefs or mixologists.

Those with unicorn energy are also drawn to the healing arts and coupled with their infinitely creative abilities, you will often find them in the entertainments and creative industries – music, comedy, drama and writing just some of the avenues in which they channel their healing abilities to heal the masses. They just as easily heal with the music they create, the words they write, the jokes that they tell, than they do with the herbs they use in a magickal potion to heal.

Effervescent and enlightening, unicorns are naturally charming and a delight to be around. They make play time fun for children and encourage everyone to freely explore their imagination and creativity.

For those who take themselves seriously, those with unicorn energy will no doubt get them to lighten up rather swiftly. They encourage joy, laughter and fun. For adults who need to get back in touch with their inner child, unicorns can provide assistance. They help to illuminate blocks and obstacles to accessing one’s own creative powers and potential, and to explore new opportunities in life.

With their magickal horns, unicorns are natural visionaries and see the truth in everything. Those who seek clarity would do well to seek the wisdom of a unicorn, as they cut through illusions and encourage one to see the bigger picture.

While unicorns teach one to see the beauty in all life, their ability to see through everyone and everything is exceptional and impeccable, which is another reason why they make such fantastic companions for children as they serve as both protectors and guardians.

Eternally youthful, unicorns mature but they never “age”, which is why people of all ages find them endearing and seek their wisdom. They are naturals with children and the young, who are drawn to their energy like a magnet.

Those with unicorn energy make good parents, as they are able to relate to their children throughout their various life stages as if they were the same age and without embarassing their children, even the most surly of teenagers.

Given the high frequency at which unicorns vibrate at, those with a similar frequency will be drawn to them. Those with unicorn energy tend to be popular and while their intentions are not to draw attention to themselves, their presence always attracts attention as they “light up” a space and a gathering in so many positive ways.

Unicorns are very humble beings and while they easily make friends and can be sociable, as spiritual beings they spend quality time on their own nurturing their spirituality, the source of their sustenance.

For those on a spiritual journey who are attuned to unicorns, will find their path enlightening and illuminating with much adventure, as well as opportunities for play and to have fun. They will also likely find themselves at home in the forest, where meditation is likely to come most easily within the natural habitat of unicorns.

Wisdom of the Warrior Miyamoto Musashi- Rosa Medea

The wisdom of a warrior is a good starting point for anyone who has chosen to work on themselves, and follow the path of their true self. The legendary Miyamoto Musashi, heralded as Japan’s greatest swordsman and samurai warrior, was also a celebrated writer and artist too, penning key writings on Japanese samurai tactics and philosophy – Go Rin No Sho (The Book of Five Rings), and Dokkōdō (The Way of Walking Alone).

Born in the Japanese province of Mimasaka in 1584, Miyamoto Musashi trained himself in the art of sword fighting at an early age and at the age of 13, he went on to win his first duel – one of many. He invented the Ni-Ten Ichi Ryu style of fighting with two swords, which is the most instantly recognisable visual features of the samurai.

Dokkōdō, a short text outlining self-discipline, was written the week before Miyamoto Musashi died in 1645 of natural causes. Consisting of 21 precepts, it expresses a way of living that is aligned with one’s self or true self.

Here is the 21 precepts of Dokkōdō:

  1. Accept everything just the way it is.
  2. Do not seek pleasure for its own sake.
  3. Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.
  4. Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.
  5. Be detached from desire your whole life long.
  6. Do not regret what you have done.
  7. Never be jealous.
  8. Never let yourself be saddened by a separation.
  9. Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself or others.
  10. Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love.
  11. In all things have no preferences.
  12. Be indifferent to where you live.
  13. Do not pursue the taste of good food.
  14. Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.
  15. Do not act following customary beliefs.
  16. Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful.
  17. Do not fear death.
  18.  Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age.
  19. Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help.
  20. You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honour.
  21. Never stray from the Way.

A Journey through the Senses: Breathe Deeply — The Druid’s Garden — ravenhawks’ magazine

Over the summer, I spent the weekend at a beautiful farm with my family for a family reunion. That land had gifted me, and all of us, much that weekend. I had found some stunning new stones for pigments, I had spent tranquil time on the lake, and I had talked with many of the […] […]
